ITV Racing Tips for Today - Friday 22nd August

It's Day Three of the Ebor Festival from York, with a bumper seven race card with five of those shown live on ITV1. Group 1, Group 2 and handicap races all feature for what should be an entertaining day of racing ahead. Find all of our tips for the select races below.

Naqeeb 7/1

Becoming a slightly frustrating horse to get right but he's back up to a more suitable trip and he's shown he's a more than capable handicapper.

Has ran really well at Ascot and Goodwood recently and should go close once more off an unchanged mark here.

Trawlerman 8/11

A top class animal who battered Illinois in the Ascot Gold Cup and it's really hard to see how he will be beaten here despite the penalty.

Clearly the best horse in the race who should win comfortably so hard to knock and the odds also suggest that he'll be tough to beat in his hat-trick bid.

Do Or Do Not 15/8

Remains a maiden but this looks a real opportunity for Do Or Do Not to win for the first time having shown clear ability in very good races.

Trainer and jockey combination of Ed Walker and Tom Marquand also have a solid strike rate when teaming up together at this course.

The one to beat on clear form.

Night Raider 11/1

A very open looking Nunthorpe so worth following one at an each way price and we like the look of this horse who has shown in the past that he can run well at this track.

Weren't beaten far by the rapid improver Jm Jungle at Goodwood who is a shorter price in this so you can see Night Raider running a big race for connections keen on targeting another big contest.

Bint Al Daar 25/1

Has shown in the past that she can run well at York so that's a positive in itself but there's reasons to believe this price is just way too big to ignore here.

Was more than halved in price when last seen and jockey Alfie Gee retains the ride but is able to claim the 7lb off today.

Cheekpieces go on for the first time but that could actually help her as her Sire Muhaarar has an impressive 20.45% strike rate with progeny who run in first time headgear (cheekpieces).
