ITV Racing Tips for Today - Saturday 4th December

The ITV Racing cameras are live from both Sandown and Aintree on Saturday the 4th of December for two top class racing cards. It's Tingle Creek day over at Sandown seeing the rematch between Jonbon and Il Etait Temps. The Becher Chase features over at Aintree over the National fences. We've gone through all the live races to pick out our tips and fancies for the day.

Kikijo 3/1

Won in good style at Cheltenham last month and looks to have more room for improvement as a staying hurdler. Hiked up 7lbs in the weights, he’s feasibly still well treated off a mark of 127. A 3lbs claimer takes over in the saddle and he can take another step forward in this sphere.

Lulamba 4/6

It’s only a small field for the Henry VIII novices’ chase this season but it looks a classy renewal. Lulamba made a pleasing chasing debut at Exeter recently and gets a handy 4 year old weight allowance. Sets the standard on his hurdle exploits and has the making of a top class chaser. The one to beat.

Bibe Mus 7/2

Has been seen a couple of times over hurdles since making the move over from running on the flat in France. Winning on debut before putting in a decent enough effort in 3 year old hurdle at the start of last month. The form of that looks strong with the winner and the 4th both winning since. Should take another step forward and will appreciate any rain.

Go Dante 7/1

Loves this course and distance, winning at Sandown in March for the last two years. Looked in need of his seasonal comeback at Bangor when being a well beaten 6th but should shape better now with that run behind him. A mark of 130 is within his scope to be competitive with the in form Sean Bowen in the saddle.

Val Dancer 12/1

Looks to have gone under the radar slightly for this after a very low-key effort on seasonal return being well beaten. He lines up only 4lbs higher in the weights than for his Welsh Grand National win last year and will outstay some of those near the head of the market.

Il Etait Temps 1/1

An incredibly talented animal who seems absolutely bombproof as long as he’s not running at Cheltenham. He returned from a long lay off to beat Jonbon easily in the Celebration Chase here back in May and won well on seasonal comeback at Clonmel. Looks the likeliest winner in the field and should confirm placings with Jonbon.

Rubber Ball 13/2

Handles softer underfoot conditions and has been campaigned at quite a high level on his last two runs. Trying Grade One company at Aintree and being well beaten before coming 14th on seasonal comeback in the Greatwood Hurdle. Up in trip and massively down in class, he’ll likely find improvement in this sphere.

O’Connell 5/2

Stamina is at the fore here and it looks safer to side with O’Connell who looks to have stamina in abundance. The winner of the Lincolnshire national last season, he then scored well over 3 miles here at Sandown on deep ground. A pleasing return saw him come 3rd at Carlisle leaving him spot on for this. Should be right in the mix come the finish.
