Another runner for the Johnston’s in the shape of West End Charmer. Only really finding success in low level handicaps over the years, he seemed to find his niche over 10 furlongs in handicaps. Scoring smartly off a mark of 100 before going close at Royal Ascot in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes.
His form has tailed off since however. He’s tried to make the step up to listed company since but has failed to make his presence felt.
Gelded at the start of this season, he’s run well in a brace of listed contests over 10 furlongs, shaping like he needs further.
Stepping up in trip should suit but it’s his first dip into group company and he could find himself exposed to better rivals.
