Clearpoint looks a horse of serious ability in two novices’ to date. Last time out, he won a class three novice at Newcastle in good style.
He has G1 entries and he’s held in the highest regard by his connections so he must have a chance.

Won last time out in a novice at Wolverhampton. He had Mutaany back in second there with a good back gap to the third.
Mutaany is an 86 rated maiden, so the level of that form is a long way off what’s going to be needed here. He has it all to do.
Looked potentially above average on his first two starts but he disappointed last time out when he was fully entitled to win.
He should be much more at home on this track given his course form. Could be one of the livelier ones at a price.
Galeron was a well beaten sixth last time out at Goodwood in the Vintage Stakes over 7f. He raced far too keenly that day and this drop in trip looks a good move at this stage in his career.
He has plenty of pace, he’s yet to put it all together entirely as of yet.

Rajasinghe colt who is winless since his debut success 5 starts ago. He’s ran to a relatively useful level without really threatening to win.
His second in a listed race last time out looks like good form, but he was well beaten by Naval Power. He has work to do on form.
Third in the Coventry before dotting up in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood. He has a 3lb penalty as a result of that performance, but he’s probably got the best form on offer here.
He looks like one of the leading 2yo colts, he’ll likely take some beating.
A winner of a very strong novice at Ascot, which is a race that’s thrown up good group performers such as Royal Scotsman, who goes here.
He then had a setback and returned at Newmarket and managed to get the job done in workmanlike fashion from Mill Stream in second.
Mill Stream ran 4th in the Acomb here on Wednesday, so for two novices events, the form looks unusually strong. He could be anything.
Reliable, often unlucky horse. However, Chateau will have plenty of work on to reverse the form with comfortable winner Royal Scotsman in the Richmond last time out.
Nonetheless, he continues to run to a high level and he can’t be totally dismissed.

Looking for three on the bounce after wins at Hamilton and York. He’s clearly still progressing and he has good course form to his name which has to be a positive.
Given his wins have came in Novice and Nursery company, this represents as a big ask at this stage of his career.

Relatively busy 2yo by Sioux Nation, Lakota Blue has ran five times and he’s won his last two. He’s clearly going the right way but his win last time out at Redcar from Hoy in second is a long way off the standard set here.
Has his sights raised significantly here.
Chuzzlewit is a Showcasing colt from a high class family. His full brother is a 2yo G1 winner, named Advertise. His pedigree gives him every chance at this level, but he’s yet to show much on the track.
5th on his only start to date in a novice at Redcar when 7/4JF, must be a negative, given maidens wouldn’t have a good record in this race at all.
He did lose a lot of ground at the start though, but he will have to be much more streetwise today.
Marshman is a Harry Angel colt who’s impressed in both his starts to date. He won at Ayr on debut in authoritative style, before absolutely running away with a novice at Thirsk last week.
He was very impressive there, and he’s backed out again quickly so he must be in rude health. Hugely dangerous to ignore.
