Third last time out in a listed race at Goodwood when behind Majestic Dawn and West End Charmer. Stormy Antarctic probably isn’t the force of old, and on this seasons’ evidence, he may well struggle.

However, the yard are in good form currently, and this looks a tricky puzzle on paper and he may surprise a few.

Second last time out in the Clipper Logistics Handicap at York. He was only a head behind Blue For You there and he had some reasonably smart horses in behind.

The level he has ran to generally this season would fundamentally leave him short here, but his run last time out was certainly encouraging.

Finest Sound

Looks to be going the right way. Finest Sound is blessed with bundles of ability, he’s always managed to underperform in the grand scheme of things.

He won over 7f two starts ago at Thirsk from Symbolize and Perotto, which is a solid run. Last time out he was second over 1m1f at York behind Alflaila, which could be very useful form.

Lightly raced 4yo gelding by Holy Roman Emperor. Jadoomi won last time out off the back of a long lay-off in France, winning a solid enough listed race.

His UK form is solid, but he may still have more to offer, especially after a good performance last time out. Hugely interesting.

Mutasaabeq

Mutasaabeq probably has the edge on this season’s form. He was a very close second last time out in the Summer Mile stakes at Ascot behind Chindit.

He held some good horses there, and if you look back at earlier in the season, he’d also placed in group company.

His form is standout here, he’s a tricky horse but this must be one of the better chances he should get to win.
