Enable to face six in September Stakes

Enable

Enable will face six runners at Kempton on Saturday in the September Stakes in what is set to be her final outing at a British racecourse during her career.

The Queen of racings big target is the Arc like her last three season and in 2018 she landed her second Arc off the back of winning the Group Three event on the Polytrack, seeing off Crystal Ocean by five lengths and connections have decided to go down the same route this term.

The six year old this season has been as consistent as ever, starting her campaign in the Coral Eclipse just being denied by the Godolphin star Ghaiyyath but it acted as a perfect prep run for the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, which she landed for the third time in her career.

The race should be a formality for the 2/9 shot but she will need to run her race with her most likely rival being the Charlie Fellowes trained Prince Of Arran who finished third in the race last year, before winning the Geelong Cup down under and placing for a second time in the Melbourne Cup.

Fellowes runner will be heading down the same path this term, alongside other runners in the race Almania and Tinandali who are owned by Australian Bloodstock.

Other runners in the race include the Richard Hughes trained Punting, James Fanshawe's Kirstenboch and the disappointing Fox Tal for Andrew Balding.

This event is used by many as a stepping stone for future races but it would be a huge shock to see anyone other than Enable land the contest.
