Facile Vega - Supreme Novices' Hurdle - 2/1 into 5/4

This week's Cheltenham festival market movers blog is starting off the Chanmpion bumper winner from last yea Facile Vega, who made his seasonal/hurdles debut at Fairyhouse on Saturday.

Sent off at 1/9 off the back of his exploits last term when landing back to back Grade One races at the Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals, he ran how a 1/9 shot should do, bolting up without even being asked.

Having already been short for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at this years festival in March, he is now a best price of 5/4 and does look the most likely winner of the race.

Oozes class.

Edwardstone - Champion Chase - 10/1 into 3/1

One of the performances of the weekend came at Sandown on Saturday when Arkle winner Edwardstone ripped apart the Tingle Creek field to land his first Grade One in open company.

A horse that has never been given the respect he fully deserves took on a stellar field of runners including last year's winner Greaneteen, multiple Grade One winner Shishkin, Aintree Grade One winner Gentleman De Mee and Champion Chase second Funambule Sivola.

Getting to the front having pinged the second last he went on to take the event by an easy nine lengths, being 15 clear of Shishkin back in third.

Now a horse that will be fully respected he is as short as 3/1 for the Champion Chase at the festival having been 10/1 before Saturdays race.

Noble Yeats - Gold Cup - 33/1 into 10/1

The final horse we are going to talk about from Saturday's racing is the 2022 Grand National winner Noble Yeats where the seven year old firmly put himself into the reckoning for the Gold Cup.

A horse with bundles of ability having won the national, this season he looks to have been aimed at tougher staying chases in the Graded One category.

At Aintree on Saturday having won nicely at Wexford on his second start of the season, he took on the likes of Ahoy Senor, Dashel Drasher and Chantry House and he went on to win extremely easy.

Noble Yeats was 66/1 on Thursday for the Gold Cup, 33/1 before the off on Saturday and is now a general 10/1 for the big event off the back of his performance.

The way he showed a rapid turn of pace just before the last and then after it was frightening and to win a Grand National and have that much pace, he looks a very special horse.

Lossiemouth - Triumph Hurdle - 10/1 into 4/1

Moving onto Sunday's action and the first horse that shook up a market for the Cheltenham festival was the Willie Mullins and Rich Ricci owned Lossiemouth.

A french recruit having been brought over to Ireland this season off the back of winning 1m7f hurdles event in very impressive fashion.

Giving his Irish debut at Fairyhouse on Sunday he took on a good field in the Grade Three Juvenile Hurdle and went on to see off stablemate Zarak The Brave comfortably by four lengths.

Now the outright favourite for the Triumph Hurdle being a general 4/1 chance from a previous 10/1, she looks a very nice type for the Closutton yard.

Marine Nationale - Supreme Novices' Hurdle - 16/1 into 8/1

Marine Nationale was another big talking horse from the weekend in relation to the Cheltenham festival with the Barry Connell trained and owned horse now an 8/1 chance for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle.

A horse that has bundles of potential off the back of his bumper and hurdles runs to date and he truly solidified his talents at the weekend when getting his jockey out of a little bit of trouble to land the Grade One Royal Bond Novice Hurdle in a photo.

His victory on Sunday is worth more than the actual amount he won by and from 16/1 into 8/1 for the race at Cheltenham in March, there may be some juice in that price.

Mighty Potter - Turners Novices' Chase - 10/1 into 5/1

The penultimate horse to talk about this week came from the Grade One Drinmore Novice Chase where Mighty Potter for Gordon Elliott took the event in good style.

A Grade One winning hurdler last season, he has now been seen over fences on two occasions and having not jumped so well on debut he improved massively at Fairyhouse to take the Grade One event from Gaillard Du Mesnil and Banbridge back in second and third.

A horse who ran at the Cheltenham festival last season in the Supreme but ran no race with this year look to head into the Turners Novices' Chase where he has halved in price from 10/1 into 5/1.

Honeysuckle - Champion Hurdle - 9/2 out to 8/1

Finally, we are going to finish off by looking at a drifter in the Cheltenham festival betting markets and it sees the Queen of racing Honeysuckle now a big price for the Champion Hurdle.

Looking to land the Grade One Hatton's Grace Hurdle for a fourth straight year, she unfortunately picked up the first loss of her career when going down to Teahupoo and Klassical Dream late on.

A best price of 9/2 before that race on Sunday, she can now be backed at 8/1 to land a third straight Champion Hurdle, with the favourite Constitution Hill now 1/3.
