A Trainer Is Sending A Single Runner On A 200 Mile Round Trip

Wednesday's 200 Mile Round Trip Traveller

Return To Unit 11/4 - 1.35 Nottingham

Roger Varian has opted to send just one of his horses on the 200 mile round trip from his training yard in Newmarket to Nottingham racecourse on Wednesday 15th October for the opening Class 5 maiden Stakes on the card.

Only 7th on debut at Windsor at the start of September, Return To Unit took a step forward for having some experience under his belt to be 2nd by only a neck at Lingfield on the all-weather three weeks ago. Still looking a touch green under Jack Mitchell.

He's now sent to Nottingham to try and break the maiden tag with Ray Dawson getting the leg up for the ride. Connections will be hoping the long trip will be worth it for the gelding to secure his first win.
