Weight: 11-8

The 9 year old mare heads the betting here for Paul Webber and Rex Dingle. Indefatigable highlighted herself as one to follow during her novice season where she nearly ran down and idling Lady Buttons at Doncaster in a Grade 2 event.

Finishing a valiant 5th in the Mares’ Novice hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival that year she finished the season with a lethal listed win when going up to 2.5 miles for the first time.

Her first season in open company had mixed results but she scored in listed company again before an emphatic performance to win the 2020 Martin Pipe handicap. Getting up in the shadows of the post under Rex Dingle. Defying top weight in the process.

She tried deeper waters off the back of that success but struggled to find her feet in Grade 1 and Grade 2 contests. Often running well in defeat but not good enough to win.

This season a pipe-opener on the flat saw her beat leading Triumph fancy Doctor Parnassus before scoring a Grade 2 over 3 miles at Wetherby.

Last seen just unable to defy a mark of 145 she goes back against her own sex and looks to defy a 6lb penalty. She has the best form on offer and is certainly the one to beat.

Wearing the blue of Middleham Park Racing, Marie’s Rock is a lightly raced 7 year old for Nicky Henderson.
Winning a sole bumper start before scoring a brace of hurdles, including a novice listed event, she then had a long break from racing.

Sent off a short enough price for a listed handicap hurdle on return, she desperately needed the run and only managed to beat 2 rivals home.

Only seen once more that season she disappointed in the Yorkshire Rose Hurdle behind Miranda.
This season started poorly too but going up in trip unlocked improvement.

An absolutely lethal winner over 2 miles and 5 furlongs at Kempton at Christmas showed that she was still talented but needed a stiffer test of stamina.

This impressive performance at Christmas saw her go off favourite for the Lanzarote Hurdle but she had her effort curtailed early when she was badly hampered by a faller at the second flight. Unable to recover, Nico de Boinville pulled her up.

The manner of her victory at Kempton earmarks her as something special and a handicap mark of 140 looked exploitable to connections who clearly think she's better than that.

The trip and track will suit her and she gets 6lbs from Indefatigable.

Whitehotchillifili

Harry Fry’s 8 year old Whitehotchillifili. She ran well in defeat in some high profile bumper races before breaking her maiden at Wincanton in fine fashion.

Rounding out her novice campaign with a 6th place in a deep running of the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham, she only managed to score once in her first season in open company.

Managing to beat Stormy Ireland in deep ground at Sandown over 2.5 miles shows this mare has some strong stamina reserves.

She then contested this race last year but didn’t travel a yard before pulling up before 2 out. This season hasn’t particularly gone to plan either and she’s been well beaten on each of her 3 outings.

Coming back in handicap company in December, her jumping let her down and she faded to be 6th of 12. She was unable to land a blow in a mares’ listed race before contesting a Grade 2 last time out.

Going up in trip seemed to suit her more as tackling 3 miles for the first time brought about a career best performance.

Only beaten around 4 lengths, she stayed on well but was just outclassed by a couple of better rivals. Coming back in trip doesn’t look ideal and she’s likely be tapped for speed jumping 3 out.

Get A Tonic

J: Harry Skelton

Age: 6
Weight: 11-2
OR: 125
Days: 42

Currently at the tail of the betting is Get A Tonic for Team Skelton. A 6 year old novice mare, she’s only taken to hurdles 4 times but has an impressive record having won 2 of her outings.

A point to point winning recruit, she struggling in bumpers and didn’t win in either of her two runs in that sphere. Making her debut over hurdles over 2 miles at Uttoxeter, she stayed on into 2nd late but didn’t have to pace to go with the eventual winner.

Moving up in trip to 2.5 miles for her subsequent two runs, she scored in maiden company at Leicester before defying her penalty in a novice race.

The form of the latter race taking a boost when the 2nd, Nothin To Ask, came out and won a maiden at Chepstow subsequently.

Last seen being dropped into deeper waters she contested a listed race at Cheltenham for novices.

A clearcut 3rd she couldn’t live with the front 2 of I Am Maximus and Hillcrest. Not of the quality of 2 smart geldings, going back against her own sex will suit.

She’s rated 22lbs behind Indefatigable so needs to step up majorly to get involved here.
