Two Foreign Raiders Worth Taking Note Of At The Festival

The stand out French raider at the meeting is Easysland who has recently been bought by JP McManus after winning the Cross Country Trial at the December meeting.

The six year old looks an exceptional athlete winning his last six and being unbeaten in over a year gives him a huge chance in the Cross Country at the festival.

He will be taking on Tiger Roll in the contest but even with the superstar in the field he is still a general 3/1 to take the contest but he would be a very unpopular winner on the day.

Since his win over course and distance he has bolted up at Pau racecourse in France in a very similar event that will have set him up nicely for this event.

Another French raider that has performed successfully in the last two Cheltenham festivals and even at the age of 12 can go well again.

In the last two renewals of the Cross Country Chase he has placed both times finishing second in 2018 behind Tiger Roll and then third last season.

Even though he has not been as good this year finishing last in small field events he always seems to save his best for the Wednesday of the festival and it would not be a surprise to see him place again.
