Trainer To Follow - Paddy Twomey

Paddy Twomey is an extremely shrewd trainer over in Ireland that rarely sends a horse to a racecourse without having a chance of winning and he sends two to the Curragh on Sunday.

In the opener he fields the debutant Gunzburg who is a well bred daughter of Sioux Nation who was bought for £160,000 and she could turn out to be quite useful.

Twomey's only other runner on the card is Just Beautiful who was formerly with Ivan Furtado and she now makes just her fourth start for the yard in the Group Two Lawnwades Stud Stakes.

The trainer heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 22% for the last two weeks, managing two winners from his last nine runners.

Jockey To Follow - Chris Hayes

Experienced rider Chris Hayes has a great book of rides at the Curragh on Sunday starting in the second race of the day with Queen's Pardon showing some smart form in her two runs this season and is sure to be in the mix.

In the Group Two Lanwades Stud Stakes Hayes jumps on Star Girls Aalmal for Henry De Bromhead with the four year old sure to have a race in her.

His best ride of the day comes in the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas with the odds on favourite Tahiyra sure to back up her second in the English 1000 Guineas.

He then rides for Dermot Weld again on the debutant Eziva who is a well bred three year old who can go close if 100% ready for her first start.

Finally, Hayes jumps on Ted Hastings for Gordon Elliott with the seven year old a smart hurdler and is now trying to convert that form to the flat.
