Who To Follow On Saturday - 19/08/20

Horse To Follow - Extra Elusive

The Legacy Cup Stakes over 1 mile 3 furlongs only sees four head to post and on form alone the favourite Extra Elusive should not be beat.

The Roger Charlton trained five year old has been superb this term, finishing second three starts ago in a Listed race at Newbury behind a nice type for John Gosden and then since backing that up with two consecutive wins.

The gelding went to Haydock and in a gritty performance landed the Group Three Rose Of Lancaster Stakes and after that stepped up again to see off Fox Chairman to take the Group Three Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor.

He seems to have found his level in these sorts of races and if running to form will be very tough to beat.

Trainer To Follow - Simon & Ed Crisford

Simon & Ed Crisford have had a successful season in their first as a joint father and son partnership landing some nice winners especially with their stable stars A'Ali and Century Dream.

Over the last fortnight they have been in especially good form with 10 winners from 29 runners seeing them pose a strike rate of 34.48%.

Their best chance of the day on Saturday comes in the feature Mill Reef Stakes with Bahrain Pride who is still unbeaten after landing both his races to date and he looks a very promising recruit for the yard.

The Crisford team have been superb at Newbury this term with five runners and managing to turn out three winners two places, which sees them have a 60.00% Win rate.

Jockey To Follow - Hollie Doyle

Hollie Doyle is currently on 73 winners for the season and week after week has been landing exceptional winners, especially on Saturdays and we feel she will have another special day at Newbury.

She has struck up a great relationship with her retained owner, Imad Alsager, horses over the short period they have been working together and she rides Extra Elusive at the weekend who she has won twice with this term.

Doyle has had 11 winners from 64 runners over the last two weeks which has seen her pose a 17.19% strike rate that she will be looking to add to on Saturday.
