Who To Follow At Punchestown on Sunday - 16/01/21

Trainer To Follow - Willie Mullins

Willie Mullins sends a good team of horses to Punchestown on Sunday, starting in the first race of the day with two live chances in the Grade Two Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle.

His big chance of the afternoon comes from Dysart Dynamo who was emphatic on hurdles debut and this event looks perfect for his progression in the sport.

Mullins also fields Hawai Game who is unbeaten on both his runs to date winning a bumper and on hurdles debut and he can't be ruled out.

In the next he lets Goven have his second run over hurdles having finished behind stablemate Sir Gerhard on debut and should be better in this.

In the Grade Three he fields Gaillard Du Mesnil and Capodanno against the superstar Bob Olinger looking to cause the upset.

Mullins heads into the meeting running at a 31% strike rate over the last two weeks, managing to land 11 winners from 36 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Rachael Blackmore

The jockey to follow on Sunday is the one and only Rachael Blackmore who is looking to bounce back to form having had a few quiet weeks.

Her big chance of the day is of course in the Grade Three Kildare Novice Chase with Bob Olinger looking to make it 2/2 over fences and land the same race Envoi Allen did last year.

Another big chance for Blackmore on the day comes in the Moscow Flyer with the £310,000 purchase Guily Billy for Cheveley Park Stud, who landed a Maiden Hurdle by 25 lengths last time out.
