The feature race of the afternoon at Naas is the Grade Three Lacken Stakes over 6f and we are giving another chance to The Antractic, who looked to need his seasonal debut.

A well bred full brother to the superstar sprinter Battaash, he made a superb start to his career when landing his first two events at Tipperary and Naas over 5f, but was then stepped up to the Group Two Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and ran no race.

Moved up to 6f at Chantilly when chasing home his talented stablamte Blackbeard in the Group Two Prix Robert Papin, he then stayed at that trip at Deauville and got back to winning ways in the Group Three Prix de Cabourg.

Seen twice more at the end of his juvenile season he was a close third behind Blackbeard again in the Group One Prix Morny and then finished the season on good ground when once again behind the superstar Blackbeard in the Group One Middle Park Stakes.

Starting this season off at Navan when certainly needing the run in the Listed Commited Stakes behind Ocean Quest and stablemate Aesop's Fables, he will need to reverse the form with Ocean Quest but back on better ground we are hoping he can do so.

Trainer To Follow - Aidan O'Brien

Aidan O'Brien sends a good team of horses to Naas on Sunday starting in the opener with River Tiber and Democracy with the pairing looking likely to land the 1-2.

In the feature Group Three Lacken Stakes, O'Brien fields The Antarctic who had some strong form as a juvenile last term and having blown away the cobwebs with his first run should be bang on for this.

In the Fillies Maiden Unless has finished second on her last three events and this event presents itself as a good one for her to go one better.

The Handicap over a mile sees him have the top weighted Broadhurst who was a nice at Dundalk when last seen over 7f and now up a furlong can go close again.

Jockey To Follow - Shane Foley

Shane Foley has a nice book of rides at Naas on Sunday starting in the opener where he jumps on the debutant Supersonic Man for Jessica Harrington.

His next ride on the afternoon comes in the Group Three Fillies Sprint Stakes with What A Squeeze looking to go better than her fourth on debut.

In the Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes Foley rides Panic Alarm who has some solid form from 2022 and this year and could go close again.

Foley then rides the talented Ocean Quest in the Group Three Lacken Stakes with him being the one to beat off what he did last time out and then in the Fillies Maiden Lan Cinnte is an interesting entry.

The rider finishes the afternoon in the mile handicap aboard National Emblem who was a nice winner last time out and now handicapping could have more to offer.
