WhatOddsPaddy? Chase Guide

1. Cadmium

Trainer - Willie Mullins

Jockey - Paul Townend

Consistent type, who finished fourth in a Grade A Handicap when sent off the market leader at Leopardstown three weeks ago.

Won a nice Grade Three at Punchestown before a decent third to Voix Du Reve at the same venue in a grade higher.

Well held behind Delta Work at Grade One level, and should be a big player on his return to handicaps.

2. Doctor Phoenix

Trainer - Gordon Elliott

Jockey -

Excellent form of old - most notably behind Un De Sceaux in the Devenish Chase at Fairyhouse.

Slid down the ladder since; only really been in contention in one contest since that April race - that was second to the useful Castlegrace Paddy at Cork in a Grade Two.

Down in a grade in a much smaller field can only be a plus.

3. Avenir D'Une Vie

Trainer - Henry De Bromhead

Jockey - Rachael Blackmore

Unfortunate with luck in the last campaign, he has only been seen once this term, and ironically he was not really seen much that day either.

Ninth of ten at Fairyhouse in a Grade A Handicap at Fairyhouse would have blown away the cobwebs.

Needs to build forward and grow on his initial promise.

4. Tycoon Prince

Trainer - Gordon Elliott

Jockey -

Arguably the outsider of this small field, cannot be overall discounted if considering his bumper and hurdles form.

Struggled with consistency over fences - was last seen completing the top ten in a Handicap at Leopardstown, and usually has more ahead of him than behind him.

Competed at Grade level many a time, and yet to prevail in such circumstances.
