Today's throwback looks back at a very popular winner of the Lincoln Handicap, with the flat racing season set to kickstart this season at Doncaster we will going back and looking at some of the best flat races of the last decade.
Today we are going back to the 2018 renewal of the Lincoln Handicap where Addeybb for William Haggas bounced onto the flat racing scene.
The superstar landed the event with no one really knowing how good a racehorse he was going to be, but in the last few years he has gone on to become arguably the best middle distance horse in the sport.
Addeybb is now a three time Group One winner in two different countries having gone to Australia last year and landing back to back black type events under superb rides by Tom Marquand.
He then came back over to England and on his latest start back in October he managed to land the Group One Champion Stakes at Ascot.
The Lincoln although a handicap does take a smart horse to win it and Addeybb proves that, with that the multiple Group One winner Lord Glitters was back in second that day.
The Lincoln Handicap kicks off the flat season on Saturday 😍
