Today we are looking back at the John Gosden trained Mishriff's superb win in the Group One Dubai Sheema Classic, coming off the back of already landing the Saudi Cup.
The five year old has had a superb career for the master British trainer, landing races like the Juddmonte International, Prix du Jockey Club and Saudi Cup, but one of his most special wins came at Meydan.
Hot off landing the second renewal of the Riyadh feature, he was primed for a big run in the Dubai Sheema Classic and under a sensational ride by David Egan he swooped late to beat the Japanese trained Chrono Genesis by a neck.
Another talented horse in Loves Only You, also from Japan, was also just back in third being beaten by a head and in the space of a few month, Mishriff became a globetrotting sensation.
Last year he went on to do great things again by landing the Group One Juddmonte International at York and this year he is set to be primed for a go at the big races again.
