The Cheltenham festival is just a week away and in building up to the greatest show on turf, today we are looking back at the curtain raiser Supreme Novices' Hurdle.
The 2020 renewal of the Grade One saw one of the best spectacles the race has offered in the last few years, with superstars Shishkin and Abacadabras fighting it out up the hill and only being split by a photo-finish.
The Nicky Henderson trained gelding got the verdict in the stewards' room and has gone on to be unbeaten since then in his three runs over fences.
This year the Supreme does not look to be a vintage renewal, with there being plenty of non runners in the last week and only four or five top talents left in the event.
However, with just a week until the two mile event we are looking back at last year's resumption to get you in the Cheltenham mood.
