Throwback Race For Wednesday - 21/10/20

Racing at Cheltenham is back at the weekend and every jumps racing fan could not be happier and in its honour we are looking back at some of the best races to ever take place at the track at the festival or before the big meeting.

Today's race throwback comes in the way of one of the most likeable horses in training, Paisley Park when he landed the 2019 Stayers' Hurdle at the festival.

Although having a tough season last term, the year before that he was extraordinary going on to win all five of his races throughout the term, including his first Grade One and it all rounding off with a win at the Cheltenham festival.

Having landed the Grade One Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot, he had a prep run at Prestbury Park in the Grade Two Cleeve Hurdle before dominating a decent field in the Thursday feature at the festival.

He is a horse that will long live in the meetings history books and today we look back at that great performance in March 2019.
