Three Standout Performers - 05/12/2018

1:20 - Mr Whipped

A Grade 2 Novice Hurdler, Mr Whipped built on his third at Cheltenham last month, to win the Liverpool University Thoroughbred Horseracing Industries MBA Novices' Chase for Nico de Boinville and Nicky Henderson.

He was third to Count Meribel round Prestbury Park, and looked a bit novicey, but today he improved massively to beat Philip Hobbs' Springtown Lake, who scored on his chasing debut at Sandown last month.

He tracked the leader, before beginning his challenged 3 out. He led approaching the last, ridden out on the flat and kept on well.

1:55 - The Big Bite

The Big Bite continues his impressive progression by scorching clear in the Watch Racing UK In Stunning HD 'Introductory' Hurdle at Haydock this afternoon.

A dual bumper scorer, he won in good style at Chepstow on his hurdles debut, and looks to have a very bright future going forward - if he didn't already.

He led and set a steady gallop from the 1st flight. He made the rest, and after quickening the pace 3 out, was soon well clear, and in no danger whatsoever. Pushed out, he went on to score very handsomely for the duo of Noel Fehily and Tom George.

2:15 - Coup De Pinceau

Coup De Pinceau took full advantage of some jumping errors from his rivals, when going on to score in the Watch Racing UK On BT TV Novices' Chase at Ludlow this afternoon.

A useful hurdler, won well on his chasing debut albeit in a small field, but nevertheless, had to cope with that penalty this afternoon.

He was second for much of the race, before appearing to be a bit outpaced. He then made ground upon on the outside of the field, and led from 3 out after both Head To The Stars and Red River blundered.

Coup De Pinceau stayed on well, and provided another succes for Harry Cobden and Paul Nicholls.
