The first bet of the day on Sunday comes from Downpatrick in the final event of the afternoon which sees the bumper event over 2m1f.

Landrake for Gordon Elliott looks the stand out selection in this race having been seen twice to date, placing well in both events behind some nice horses.

His first run came at Leopardstown over two miles and he as a good third of 16 behind the Grade One Champion bumper winner Facile Vega.

He then went to Navan on heavy ground and finished a narrow second behind another smart youngster for Mullins in Madmansgame.

The gelding holds leading form in the race and should go close.

Moving onto our best bet of the afternoon at Carlisle it comes in the Class 4 Handicap Hurdle over 2m1f and Malpas at the top of the weights for Donald McCain could be a class above.

A fairly consistent horse running between 115 and 112 of late, last time out he was seen winning nicely over course and distance.

Off the same mark and in similar conditions he has every chance of going close again.

The final selection of the afternoon on Sunday from around the courses is Judex Lefou in the Chepstow Handicap Chase over 2m3f.

This seven year old has really come into his own of late for trainer Tim Vaughn, winning over todays trip at Exeter and scoring by 13 lengths before a narrow second last time out when up 7lb in the handicap.

Only 4lb higher for his latest run, when staying on late, it would be a surprise to not see him in the frame once more.
