Beatboxer 9/4

The first of eight quality races from HQ commences with the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes, a Group 2 race over a mile, and BEATBOXER can maintain his unbeaten record.

John Gosden’s 2yo was a non-runner last time at Haydock due to worries over the ground, but with all being well, he should return to the track currently two from two.

Son of the late Scat Daddy, he has won at Haydock and Sandown already this campaign and looks a very progressive type. Frankie Dettori rides.

Signora Cabello 11/2

The first of two Group 1’s is the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes, a 6 furlong contest for fillies, and SIGNORA CABELLO can turn the tables with rival Pretty Pollyanna.

Jimmy Quinn opened up this week and claimed his filly to be the best 2yo he has ever trained; who was narrowly pipped by the Michael Bell trained filly at Deauville last time out.

These two pulled well clear, and at the prices, Signora Cabello is worth another chance having won her four starts prior to defeat on France. Dettori in the saddle once more.

Ten Sovereigns 4/6

The second Group 1 race of the day is the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes for colts, and the eye is certainly drawn on Aiden O’Brien’s TEN SOVEREIGNS.

Back to back impressive wins at the Curragh, this son of No Nay Never looks one of Ballydoyle’s leading chances in this Classics next season.

With top rider Ryan Moore in America, Donnacha O’Brien will deputise once more, but it won’t be the first time he has been aboard, as he rode both times In Ireland. Could be something very special, and will be a very short price favourite.

Wissahickon 11/1

Next up is the Bet365 Cambridgeshire Handicap – a heritage handicap over 1m1f and WISSAHICKON can win his fourth race in five here for John Gosden and George Strawbridge.

Should this horse be entered, he will stand a great chance on recent form having returning to winning ways back on the AW at Chelmsford last month. He ran at Newmarket back at their July Festival, but finished a distant eighth to Communique – who has won twice since.

That was a below par run from him, and is worth another chance at a good price. Trainer currently 8 from 39 in last 14 days.

Imperial Charm 9/4

Several of these come into this race – Division I of the Blandford Bloodstock Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, unraced, but one that will look to exploit the others with track experience is IMPERIAL CHARM.

Simon Crisford’s 2yo finished a good third on this track last month despite running very green. He would have learned a lot from that day and can add to the success of trainer and jockey in the last fortnight.

He is a half-sister to Ajman Princess, and Ostillio – who has won three times this year.

4:50

Desirous 5/2

DESIROUS is another that can take advantage of course experience in another maiden, this time in Division II of the Blandford Bloodstock Maiden Fillies stakes.

Back on the AW last time out, Desirous is a son of the great Kingman. He drops in class and looks to continue trainer Ralph Beckett’s excellent September – currently 8 from his last 37. Richard Kingscote is in the saddle.

5:25

Stay Classy 8/1

STAY CLASSY proved her class when securing success at Doncaster on St Leger weekend, and can land the spoils in the British Stallion Studs EBF Jersery Lily Fillies Nursery Handicap.

There are some classy fillies in this nursery, but Richard Spencer’s stablestar looks a progressive type and could take her career wins to three.

Ground and conditions no problem, but like any horse, will need to handle the famous dip on this course.

5:55

Ripp Orf 4/1

Ripp Orf has been in sensational form this year, and having won at this course back In July, can take the last race – the Newmarket Journal handicap.

He landed a big handicap at Ascot last time out over this distance in this class, and has only be unplaced twice in 13 races this calendar year.

Mr Consistent is partnered by Mr Consistent in the saddle, as Jason Watson who has been in such prolific form this season, takes the place of Hayley Turner and takes off a further 3lbs.
