Big Bucks Manifesto Novice Chase – FINIAN’S OSCAR 9/2

We will be taking a chance on Finian’s Oscar rediscovering his form and bouncing back to winning ways at Aintree. He has proven course form having won the Betway Mersey Novices’ Hurdle last year. Grante the has been disappointing recently but he certainly has ability having won 4 Grade 1 races in his career. With Aintree also set to be soft ground due to the weather, this should suit Finian’s Oscar considering he has won 3 out of his 4 races he has ran on soft ground. Tizzard will determined to finish the season on a high and we think Finian’s Oscar is a decent price at 9/2.

Aintree Bowl Chase – MIGHT BITE 4/6

Following his second place finish in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Might Bite looks like he will be very hard to beat here. He won well at Aintree last year and should be set to get another win under his belt. He was far from disgraced on his Cheltenham run and can take a lot of positives from it. He was beaten by a very good horse in Native River. The third favourite for this race is Definitly Red but Might Bite has already beaten him by 14 lengths in his last ran and should be far too good for him. Bristol De Mai is second favourite and he was beaten by Definitly Red on his last run. Might Bite should have too much for the rest of the field here and we expect him to win comfortably.

Doom Bar Anniversary Juvenile Hurdle – APPLES SHAKIRA 2/1

Apples Shakira was a disappointing well backed favourite at Cheltenham last time out but we think she can definitely bounce back here. Having won her previous three races for Henderson by a combined 28.5 lengths, she’s obviously a star. Many horses have lost at the Festival and then gone on to win at Aintree and we think she can too. If she runs her race like we know she can and have seen in the past, then she should definitely have too much for her rivals here.

Fox Hunters Chase- SIR JACK YEATS 16/1

The Fox Hunters Chase is normally a race that throws up a surprise, as it did at the Cheltenham Festival with Pacha Du Polder winning at an SP of 20/1. We are going to take a chance with an outsider here too. Sir Jack Yeats has already beaten Cousin Pete who finished a very decent third to Pacha Du Polder at Cheltenham. After beating Cousin Pete he also notched a win at Kelso in a very game performance. He was far from disgraced in his Cheltenham run and could easily bounce back to form here at a very eyecatching each way price of 16/1.

Aintree Hurdle- SUPASUNDAE 11/10

The Jessica Harrington trained Supasundae looks hard to beat here. Coming off the back of a very good run in Cheltenham in the Stayers Hurdle, Supasundae should have far too much for his rivals here. He has course form if you take in to account his very decent second at Aintree last year to Yanworth and he has improved since then. He is versatile on different types of ground and always seems to run his heart out. He’s very consistent and should be too good for the likes of The New One who seems like he is past his best and My Tent of Yours who was ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival due to injury.

Red Rum Handicap Chase – KINGS SOCKS 10/1

Kings Socks was well supported in the market at Cheltenham and finished a respectable fifth. He could go well again here at a decent price. In his career in France, Kings Socks was only beaten 2 and a half lengths by the ever impressive Footpad. It looks a wide open race and it is always hard to find a winner in these kind of handicaps but he is definitely worth an each way bet. He travelled into his race well last time out and if he can find a bit more in the tank then he should go close.

Goffs Nickel Coin Mares’ Standard Open NH Flat Race – DISSAVRIL 10/1

The Emma Lavelle trained Dissavril made an impressive start to her career winning a nice race at Market Rasen on her debut. She is the type that could improve a lot and she should be fresh considering she has not raced since the 17th January. It’s a tough race to win but she looks a very back-able price at 10/1 and could put in a massive run.
