Scottish Grand National Tip

14/1 shot for the Scottish National..

It’s that time of year again, the Scottish Grand National! A test race ran over a distance of approximately 4 miles and 110 yards, with past winners including some of racings most famous names including fan favourite Red Rum.

It would be foolish to back against any Gordon Elliott horse running at the moment and we are going to side with him again here with his charge FAGAN. A 14/1 shot he is a very interesting type and is unexposed. He could be one that improves massively and we see no reason why he could not scoop this prize. Last time out he bumped into a good type in Black Corton who went on to run at the Cheltenham Festival. He was actually favourite this day showing how much ability some think he may have, hopefully the penny will have dropped by now and he should go well fresh having not been seen since October.

He has won at Ayr before back in 2015 and the track will suit. With the ground looking like drying up this will suit him too as he already has a win on Good to Soft and two wins on Good ground to his name. If anyone can land a Grand National and Scottish Grand National double at the moment it is Gordon Elliott and we fancy he has a strong hand here.
