The first race of the day sees a cracking Group Two contest in the Lowther Stakes for juvenile fillies and Sacred for William Haggas catches the eye.
This Cheveley Park owned filly won well on debut when beating Sardinia Sunset by just under two lengths who has since gone on to frank that form by winning a Listed event.
She improved for that run when finishing a close second in the Group Two Queen Mary Stakes at the royal meeting and will be hard to beat now up to six furlongs.

Out The Hat is our second selection of the afternoon on day two and he runs in the Premier Yearling Stakes that last year threw out the star Mums Tipple.
The Jedd O'Keefe trained juvenile is a big price and is advised to take each way but from what he has shown to date looks slightly overpriced.
He has raced twice during his career making no real impression at Hamilton on debut, but bolting up when stepped up to 6f at the same course last time out showing plenty of promise.
Second from that race then franked the form by hosing up by 11 lengths next time out and if the gelding improves once again, he could cause a big shock.

A fierce Heritage Handicap comes next with the Class 2 event seeing a huge field heading to post and with that in mind we have a win and each way selection.
Top Rank for handler James Tate continued his fine start to his career with his fourth win on the bounce at Thirsk at the end of last month.
That was his first run after 10 months or so off the race track and despite going up in the weights by nearly a stone, he sets the standard on form.
At a much bigger price is What's The Story for Keith Dalgleish who won this race off just 3lbs less last year and he’s still unbeaten over this course and distance at the age of six.
He is proven in big fields and thats exactly what he gets again today and if the rain comes it could play to his strengths more than other runners.

The odds on favourite Love for Aidan O'Brien is our selection in the Group One Yorkshire Oaks and off the back of what she has done this term, you can't go against her.
She looked a smart juvenile when finishing third on her final two year old start in the Group One bet365 Fillies Mile, but this season she has transformed into a world beater.
She made her seasonal debut in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and beat a superb field of runners by over four lengths.
From there O'Brien decided to step her up in trip for the Epsom Oaks and she revelled in the extra distance, beating a sound field by a devastating 9 lengths.
She saw off John Gosden's Frankly Darling by close to 10 lengths that day and if running to the same ability, this race seems just a stepping stone to the Arc.

Another feature race on the second day at York is the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes over 1 mile 4 furlongs for Fillies's and Mares.
Gold Wand for Roger Varian looks a very exciting daughter of Golden Horn and she managed to get off the mark at the second time of asking when winning nicely at Newbury in June.
She then ran no sort of race in The Oaks at Epsom but pushed the highly rated Franconia all the way here last month to finish a close second.
There would be no surprise to see her go one better now up in trip at a course she obviously handles well.
The Class 2 Nursery Handicap sees a challenging field of youngsters take to post but we believe we have found a gem with the Mark Johnston trained Basilicata
The 10/1 shot has two wins and two seconds from her first four career runs, winning a quality handicap at Newmarket last time out.
Back in nursery company in this race makes her one to follow and in what looks to be a tougher race, the step back up to 7f should suit her.
She is an ultra consistent type that should run her regardless of conditions.

The final event of the day is the a competitive Fillies' Handicap over seven furlongs and Anna Nerium at a double figure price looks an attractive bet.
The five year old mare is the most experienced horse in this field and holds some decent form during her career, with the stand out being his Group Three win at Epsom last term.
She has ran to a fair standard this term and wasn’t disgraced when finishing second behind Happy Power at Salisbury a couple of weeks ago and if improving from that run could be in the mix.
