Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe Weekend Tips

Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe Weekend Tips

An action packed race day over at Chantilly which includes TEN Group contests over two days…

It’s the biggest race day in France this Sunday as the worlds elite head to Chantilly with over €7,500,000 worth of prize money up for grabs, which includes a whopping €5,000,000 purse for the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe alone. So to get in the swing of things, we’ve put together a fine looking 19/1 treble for you guys to feast your betting eyes on along with singles for every race over the weekend. Take a look at it, read through our preview and tweet us your thoughts to @TWEnclosure.

Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe – 15:05 Chantilly

Our Selection: Enable

Recent Form Figures: 111113

Well, there’s not many words than can be used to describe this three-year-old John Gosden trained filly. Six wins from seven races in her career so far, four group one wins including the Darley Yorkshire Oaks, King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Darley Irish Oaks & Investic Oaks and rated as one of the best flat horses on the planet, it’s safe to say she is a force to be reckoned with and this Sunday she will look to conquer Europe in the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe. She’s won on numerous goings and it would be mad to back against her this weekend, even at odds of 4/5. Her nearest challenge comes from Ulysses, a horse she beat by over four lengths in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes and we’re pretty much expecting a similar result this weekend at Chantilly as she looks to head to Champions Day with a record of seven wins from eight. If you fancy getting an early bet on any horse in the race, SkyBet are offering non runner no bet!

Qatar Prix De L’Abbaye Longchamp – 16:35 Chantilly

Our Selection: Marsha

Recent Form Figures: 13231

In what looks to be a fiercely competitive sprint, we’ve gone for last years winner Marsha to repeat her 2016 success. As we’re doing this year, we tipped her at what turned out to be massive odds of 16/1 however this year she is a little shorter at 5/2 and rightly so. She’s had a little bit of a topsy turvy season winning two of her five races so far in 2017 with her most recent victory coming in emphatic style as she beat the highly rated American filly Lady Aurelia to claim the Nunthorpe Stakes at York. She is a thoroughly likeable horse and if she manages to get the run of the race once again this year, she will be hard to beat. Her closest rival in the market is Al Maktoum’s improving gelding Battaash however he had a bit of a no show last time out finishing 4th to Marsha at York despite beating her comfortably in the King George Stakes. The only slight concern we have over Marsha is the ground. She’s never won on soft and if the rain comes heavy on Saturday through to Sunday, this may play in to Battaash’s hands however as long as the ground doesn’t deteriorate too much, we reckon it will be her race to lose. As with the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe, this race is also non runner no bet with SkyBet.

Qatar Prix De La Foret – 17:15 Chantilly

Our Selection: Aclaim

Recent Form Figures: 12686

A two time Group 2 winner in England and Group 1 runner up in France, the Martyn Meade trained Aclaim will be looking to claim his first ever Group 1 success in the Prix De La Foret on Sunday. He’s not had the greatest of seasons as a four-year-old however that has picked up recently with him finishing a close second to Brando in the Group 1 Maurice De Gheest at Deauville at the start of August and he then followed that up with his second Group 2 victory in England winning the Alan Wood Plumbing And Heating Park Stakes at Doncaster just under two weeks ago. What makes this horse in our eyes such a good bet is his consistency at towards the end of the season. He won three on the bounce at the end of last season with all three wins coming after September 1st. And now with his second and first in his last two races, we think we could well start to be seeing a pattern. Also, he’ll be hoping for rain with three of his six career runs so far coming on ground Good to Soft or softer. At 9/2, he will hopefully be the final piece of the jigsaw in the 189/1 Lucky 15!
