Today's fixture at Windsor Racecourse has been cancelled due a large amount of unexpected rain falling on the course deeming it unsafe to ride on.
Officials of the track to today called an inspection early this morning after a 48mm of rain had lashed down in just a 24 hour spell and severe damage had been done.
The racecourse sent an official tweet out just moments ago to express there disappointment of the meeting being abandoned but there was nothing they could do after the amount that fell.

Racing still takes place at four other racecourses around Britain and Ireland today with Musselburgh, Yarmouth and Gowran Park in the early afternoon with Kempton on the all weather holding the only night meeting of the day.
