The first race of the day on the ITV broadcast is the Class 2 Handicap over six furlongs and Will To Win for the inform Simon & Ed Crisford team makes big appeal.

At a tasty price in the market the three year old has been fairly consistent throughout his career with two wins and two more places in his last six contests.

Last time out the son of Showcasing finished a bright second behind the Richard Hannon trained Theotherside who features in this race.

He will need to reverse that form but with her going up 7lb for that win but Cieren Fallon takes the ride on Will To Win which could be the game changer.

One of the feature races of the day is the Listed Dick Hern Stakes and the main attraction is the Sir Michael Stoute trained Veracious.

Although now odds on in the betting this mare should be a class above this field off the back of what she has done during her career to date.

The five year old, last year, landed the Group One Falmouth Stakes seeing off the likes of multiple Group One winner One Master and second in the QEII I Can Fly.

Although this is her first run of the season, she is dropping down to a listed event for the first time in her career and should dominate the field.

Another decent Class 2 Handicap on what would have been Shergar Cup day at Ascot comes over a mile and Jalaad for Saeed bin Suroor looks the most likely winner of this difficult event.

The five year old gelding has been hit and miss in these sorts of events but last time out gave a career best performance at York to land a Class 3 Handicap.

He saw off 17 runners that day and although this field of runners are slightly better he should come on again for that run and he should enjoy the stiffness of the track.

The Group Three Rose Of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock is one of the best events of the day with a classy field of runners, who have previously ran in better races than this going to post.

It is very hard to look past the favourite in this one with Global Giant for John Gosden holding very strong credentials off the back of what he has done this term.

On his seasonal debut after a year off the track the five year old took a Conditions Stakes at Wolverhampton with ease, seeing off some nice runners.

Stepping up to Listed company he ran no sort of race on very quick ground, but he put that right last time out at Newbury when stepping up to 1 mile 2 furlongs, taking the Listed Steventon Stakes.

Zaaki looks to be the big danger but having never won over this trip he might not stay and the logical selection looks to be the improving Global Giant.

The marathon race of the day from Ascot sees the Class 2 Handicap over two miles and Australis for Roger Varian could be a class above this field.

The four year old has been highly consistent for the most part of his career with three seconds and two wins in his last five events.

He gave a career best performance last time out at Newcastle in the Northumberland Stakes finishing a narrow second behind an improving type.

He stayed out the trip really well that day and this weaker event should see him dominate.

Fly Miss Helen is a young filly that the Richard Hannon yard are very interested by and she steps up to Group Three company in the Sweet Solera Stakes.

The two year old made a very bold debut at Newbury last month when taking a Class 5 Maiden with ease, seeing off some smart juvenile's.

She managed to pull away from the field that day, learning on the job and it will be a shock to not see her improve for that run.

Although this is a huge step up, the field is very inexperienced and she could just be a superstar in the making.

The final race of the day is the Thames Hospice Handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs and Omnivega for David Simcock is a horse going in the right way.

This season the four year old has just clicked landing a quick-fire hat-trick on all three of his runs to date and although moving up in the handicap is still improving.

The gelding won nicely at Kempton in February and backed that up in March at Lingfield, he then had a short break and came back last month at Kempton again and won a decent event.

He is now moving back on to turf but has some strong form off the back of his last race beating Cepheus who won a nice event at Glorious Goodwood, so that form is franked.
