Cheltenham (12:10) Tip - That's Nice

Only four runners line up in the Novices' Hurdle to kick off the day at Cheltenham, but it is a competitive enough affair.

That's Nice should have the class to take advantage of carrying less weight than her rivals for the partnership of Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville.

The four-year-old filly made a winning start over hurdles at Warwick last month, finishing over a length clear of Honky Tonk Highway.

Down in trip today, but should still have conditions in her favour to maintain her unbeaten record.

Cheltenham (12:40) Tip - Caldwell Potter

Caldwell Potter is the most exciting contender in the Novices' Chase at Cheltenham on Friday. The six-year-old was brought for 740,000 euros after a Grade 1 win over hurdles in Ireland, and quickly joined the Paul Nicholls yard.

Connections were patient with the gelding, with the long-term targets coming over fences.

Made a pleasing start over the bigger obstacles at the start of December, finishing well clear of Hombre De Guerra over two miles. Up in trip today and looks set to relish the extra mileage.

Cheltenham (13:15) Tip - Tintintin

Tintintin is the runner from the Fergal O'Brien stable in the 13:15, with Jonathan Burke booked to take the ride.

The five-year-old has won four from 12 starts over hurdles, and appears to go well around Cheltenham after winning over course and distance in April.

Returned to action with a fifth over two miles at Wetherby, before staying on to take fourth behind Burdett Road in the Greatwood Hurdle here last month.

Another bold effort is likely based on his efforts at Cheltenham in handicap company.

Cheltenham (13:50) Tip - Chianti Classico

Chianti Classic is the runner from the in-form Kim Bailey yard at Cheltenham today, with Ciaran Gethings booked to take the ride.

The seven-year-old was the winner of the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival, finishing over four lengths clear of Twig over three miles and one.

Returned to action at the start of November with an impressive jumping display at Ascot, beating Highstakesplayer by three lengths.

Up another 5lb, but back up in trip and plenty going in his favour.

Cheltenham (14:25) Tip - Torn And Frayed

Torn And Frayed is the runner for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard on Friday, with Sam Twiston-Davies booked to take the ride.

The ten-year-old has won twice from 13 starts over fences, and looks well treated on these terms based on his effort at Warwick over three miles last month when beating Eldorado Allen by eight lengths.

Has winning experience over course and distance after winning in Grade 3 company by six lengths in January 2022.

TORN AND FRAYED @ 13/2

Cheltenham (15:00) Tip - Stumptown

Gavin Cromwell's yard is represented by Stumptown in the Cross Country at Cheltenham.

The seven-year-old has enjoyed some solid efforts over traditional fences at Cheltenham, including when third over three miles and two at the April meet earlier this year.

Attentions were switched to Cross Country events this season, and he produced an excellent effort over the banks course at Punchestown in November when beating a 13-runner field by over two lengths.

STUMPTOWN @ 23/5

Cheltenham (15:35) Tip - Zain Nights

Zain Nights looks to have interesting claims in the final race on the card at Cheltenham on Friday.

The five-year-old has won four times already this year, including once over course and distance in April when beating Harbour Lake by two lengths.

Returned from a break at Cheltenham in October when finishing a decent third behind The Wallpark.

He had ground excuses on his latest effort after being pulled up on soft ground at Haydock. Has conditions that should suit today, and well worth an each-way chance.
