The stand out star of the summer for the fillies division has been Alpha Centuari and her next step forward will be in France at Deauville where she will have to give her best performance to date to get on terms for her fourth Group 1 title in a row.

This is because yesterday Accidental Agent who was last seen winning at the Royal Meeting in the Queen Anne Stakes has been announced as her potential strongest opponent when racing in the Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard Prix Jacques le Marois.

Alpha Centauri has been remarkable this season for the outstanding dual trainer Jessica Harrington as she has gone on to win the Irish 1,000 Guineas, Coronation Stakes and the latest of her wins in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket.

However ever since Accidental Agents break through win for trainer Eve Johnson Houghton at Royal Ascot at 33/1, beating some real stand out performers in the Group 1 and has had this race in Deauville as the big target ever since.

Sunday’s race will see a quick turn around for the Freddy Head trained horse who only raced two weeks ago when dropped back in trip for the first time and won effortlessly .

Head who is looking forms fourth winner in the race in France as a trainer but he also won it seven times as a jockey.

This week the race was feared not to go ahead or even scare off some of the horses from running with a storm aiming towards the north of France. However, Deauville has avoided the wet weather and yesterday the ground was described as Good setting up a perfect spectacle on Sunday all being well.
